March and April 2019

After spending precious time in SA with our children, grandchildren, family and friends, we arrived back on Chandami on the 10th of March 2019.

Aside from being very wet, and very green here, everything was well maintained here, and everybody was very glad to see us.

The road to the farm was eroded after the heavy rains. One measurement that was taken, was 500mm of rain in only three days. After very hard work of scraping the roads, and packing rocks in the river, we could now get to the farm again. The drive to the farm now takes about 40 minutes. After Jannie went to the farm on 22 May, we can report that the coffee trees are growing well. The workers on the farm now also have clean water for drinking and cooking, as we have made a water filter for them.

We sold beans to 30 farmers in the area, and the idea is to buy the beans from them after they harvested their crop. Currently their land looks good after the good rainfall.

The clinic is also in full operation again. The amount of patients vary between 30 and 60 per day, and we had a lot of patients with burn wounds lately. Maria, the pastors wife, is the one that helps me with the burn wounds. Just today there were two burn wound patients – one was a little 6 year old boy who stepped into the fire with both feet, and the other was a adult woman that burnt her leg. For all the work at the clinic, we surely do need full time intersession.

Inbetween the farm work and managing the church matters, Jannie is also busy with mechanical work. The tractor now has 4 new tires and is now ready to set weels on all the 4 x 4 roads around here.

We had a few visitors, and each one of them had a positive impact here. Thank you for your visit, and please do come again.

Thank you everyone for your prayes, financial contribution, interest and care. Surely it makes this road we are traveling on, a lot easier.

Psalm 32:8

I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin.

Selah.
